10 Bars & Lyrics of Project Management
During this program, middle school and high school students will participate in fun and engaging sessions to develop and execute their individual or small group project. Youth will create a project plan and manage their project during all phases – planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluation. Youth will also identify stakeholders, communicate with stakeholders, and lead meetings.
Focus skills: leadership, communication, networking, public speaking, writing skills, and project management career exploration
Outcomes: Participants will learn basic project management skills, strategies, tools, and techniques. Participants will work individually and in small group projects to plan and manage projects that will have a positive impact on school culture and enhance community partnerships. Additionally, participants will strengthen their leadership and communication skills.


Skills, Leadership, and Money Matters (SLAM)
This program is for participants in the 3rd to 5th grades. This program consists of (2) components: 1) Participants will learn money matters and financial planning concepts & strategies. and 2) basic to intermediate basketball skills during a basketball clinic.
Focus points: Money Matters: math skills, money management, budget planning, and communication. Basketball: Concepts of offense, defense, ball handling, teamwork, leadership, and fair play.
Outcomes: Participants will work through their personal experiences, logic and reasoning to gain confidence when dealing with money. During the basketball clinic, participants will learn basketball skills, teamwork, and preparation for middle school and high school basketball programs.
